About Napili Village
Our Maui vacation rentals, though not waterfront, are closer to the ocean than if you were staying in most waterfront hotels or condos in the Napili resort area. The Napili Village condos are only 50 yards from the sand. And the best part is you don’t have to pay waterfront prices like you would at other Napili Bay condos. If you are looking for discount maui hotels your search is over. For value, Napili Village is clearly the best Napili Bay condo hotel.
Napili Village has an air conditioner and a television in every room, plus it offers housekeeping and fresh towels every day except Sunday.
At Napili Village you get budget prices coupled with treatment that is royal. Lahaina resorts are not all created equal. If you’re shopping Napili Bay condos and hotels in the Napili resort area, compare apples with apples and make sure you’re getting the most important amenities. Don’t stay any place that doesn’t have air conditioning. Napili is several degrees cooler than Lahaina, but it’s still warm, especially when the afternoon sun pours in your ocean view window. Air conditioning is a must. So is housekeeping. Everyone should be on vacation and that includes mom. If you are shopping for Maui vacation rentals by owner or other Napili Bay condo web sites, you are most likely not going to get daily housekeeping and you might not have air-conditioning. These days most people have their own cell phone so you might not care if your room doesn’t have a telephone, but you know you’re going to miss not having a television if one is not included in your condo. At our Napili Bay condos you don’t have to be without any of those amenities, plus you get them at our unbeatable Napili Village prices. For value Napili Village is easily the best Napili bay condo hotel.
I have stayed now at Napili Village 4 years, and have been coming to Maui for 9. I don't know why, but we keep trying other places . . . and we always like this one the best. Now I will no longer try other places. I have stayed at: Napili Shores (great views, only rock beach, expensive), Westin Ka'anapali Villages (what!!!! you put me up at a unit with NO BALCONY and right by the road!!!! OMG), Napili Point, Napili Kai, Royal Lahaina Resort, Kihei Akahi (fine for the low $$ but it’s Kihei), Maui/Makena Prince (did like this but not cheap and no kitchen). The Mauian (nice karma, liked it, but more expensive than Napili Village).
And my cousins always stay at the other Napili Bay Hotel, Hale Napili, great, right on the beach but no pool and an older crowd vs those with kids stay there. Net net - who wouldn't like Napili Village? Value conscious people, those with kids (great beach and nice low key pool), those who care more about Maui and the beach vs the resort and pools, people who want it easy and laid back. It is not right on the beach, but it is closer to the beach than when we stayed at either of the Westin’s beach front resorts! I can easily afford to spend more, and keep doing so, but we keep thinking Napili Village is the best combination of what we are looking for. Great sunset views by the beach, my favorite beach in the world (more fun per square inch per Maui Revealed), good not great (but close to great locations) for snorkeling, turtles, safe and fun beach surfing/playing for everyone including kids, nice friendly people both staff and guests. They do not have the "Westin Heavenly beds" but their beds are OK, the pillows aren't like ours at home but they are OK, the place isn't brand new and perfect but it's still well worth the price of $139 per night verses "you know what the bigger, more impersonal resorts are." What more can I say, I love this place. A. Windsor, California
If you are a golfer our Napili Bay condo hotel has you covered. We can assist w/ tee times at the great local courses in the Napili resort area. If you want to play where “Tiger” played, the Plantation Course will be just your cup of tea. It is where the PGA events are played and it is only a five-minute drive from our hotel. Take Lower Honoapi'ilani Road north past the Mauian, Napili Kai, and Ritz Residences. It dead-ends at Office Road. Turn right and go out past the The Ritz Hotel, Honolua Store and Kapalua Golf Club Driving Range to the main highway. Turn left and go about a mile. The turnoff to the Plantation is on the right. You can’t miss the clubhouse complex on your right. Follow the signs.
The Bay Course is only two minutes away from Napili Village by car. Take Lower Honoapi'ilani Road north and go past the Mauian. Take the first right past the Napili Kai Hotel. That’s Kapalua Drive. The Bay Course clubhouse is on your right.
There is a reason golfers avoid the Lahaina resort golf courses. As has been said, “Lahaina means “relentless sun” and an unrelenting sun makes Lahaina an oven you’ll want to avoid.” Unless you play early morning you’re gonna’ cook. So if you’re a golfer, go north past the Lahaina resorts to where it’s cooler and check out the all that our Napili Bay hotel has to offer. If you want something comparable to the Lahaina resort strip you’ll find the Napili Kai a wonderful option. If you don’t want to spend that much but waterfront is a priority check out The Mauian, Napili Point or Napili Surf. But if you want the most bang for your buck and still have the beach only fifty yards away, Napili Village will be your Maui vacation rentals of choice.
We spent a week in #19 at Napili Village and loved every minute of it. From the time we drove into the very cute complex, to opening the door to our adorable studio, my husband and I felt totally at home here, and so did our 2 year old daughter. We are well-traveled and though we don't require anything fancy, I do enjoy a place with a good vibe (can't think of a better word), and this place has it. Lots of lush foliage, a pretty and sparkling clean pool, a fun little general store with lots of Hawaiian chocolates and other stuff you need (wine, sunblock, etc). Plus, the very short walk to the lovely beach was a great part of our day, my daughter loved the outdoor shower on the walk home every day. At $139 a night, with no hidden fees or mystery taxes, I think this place is the best deal in Maui.
For us the distance to Lahaina was no big deal. We made the trip into "town" every day to go to Safeway or Starbuck's, or just to get out and see other places, and it was a fun, easy drive. I never noticed much traffic. It was always great to get back to Napili and our own lovely little beach.
I totally recommend this place to budget-conscious travelers who want something fun and homey. The owner/managers are helpful but unobtrusive, and you have a lot of privacy. We made our own coffee and the Friday breakfast was just okay (pastries from the local market) but a nice way to chat with the other guests. We met a lot of nice people, many of whom were return guests, and even condo owners. SFgal40, San Francisco
Our favorite coffee shop is Hawaiian Village Coffee. They have the highest quality coffee beans and friendly staff. They also offer free high speed wi-fi. Yes, we do offer coffee and wi-fi here at the resort, but we don't have Rosalani ice cream which is quite the Hawaiian treat. This and many other treats can be had at Hawaiian Village Coffee. There are two locations in the area. The closest is by McDonald's in Kahana. The second is in the Fairway Shops by the Royal Lahaina Resort in Ka'anapali. Oh, and if you want to try the best authentic shave ice on the island, go to the location by the Royal Lahaina Resort in Ka'anapali. They have an old fashioned ice shaver that is essential for real shave ice.
The Sea House Restaurant - From the beach access the Sea House is located all the way on the right side of Napili Bay. From your Napili rental, go to the public beach access to the left of our property, head towards the beach and turn right heading past the Mauian and over to the Napili Kai Resort beachfront. The Sea House is at the end of the sidewalk. You can’t beat the view and you are literally right on the water edge while dining. They open at 7 am. If you’re on a budget try the French toast for breakfast. Ask for a side of peanut butter. Pour on the coconut syrup and you’ll enjoy the best $6 breakfast you’ve ever had with the best view on the island. It takes the prize for best cheap meal on Maui with a view. They stop serving breakfast at 11 am.
Or, show up between 2:00 and 5:00 pm for their special Napili resort Happy Hour specials. Pupus are gourmet quality for only $5. Don’t miss the Polynesian Chopped Salad (grilled chicken, cabbage, edamame, Molokai sweet potato, pickled papaya with sesame ginger vinaigrette and flat bread), the Tenderloin Bruschetta (filet, tomatoes and mushrooms in a rich demi glace over toasted Asiago bread finished with balsamic syrup), or the Maui Beach Balls (Rock shrimp, mahimahi, corn, pepper jack cheese, scallions, furikake crust, mango mustard, wasabi vinaigrette and remoulade dipping sauce). All three are to die for and together are the best $15 you’ll ever spend and thereby qualifying as a fabulously cheap deal on Maui. Its really nice to have it so close to your Napili Bay condo.
Head-To-Toe Beauty Salon - You can walk out of your Napili vacation rental, take a few steps to the right, and across from the entrance to the Napili General Store find Head-To-Toe, a full service beauty salon. Hollee and the gang will take good care of you. They do it all, including massage. If you’re part of a wedding party staying at our Napili vacation rentals or any of the nearby Napili Bay hotels such as the Napili Kai, Mauian, Napili Point, Royal Lahaina Resort or any of the Maui vacation rentals by owner, they’ll block out the day just for you.
